I am so excited to share these fun valentine’s day activities with you! As a mom, I love watching how much fun my kids have during holidays throughout the year, even the smaller ones like Valentine’s Day! A child can take any holiday and make it magical. And, I’ve found supplying my kids with fun, hands-on activities keeps the magic alive! I love seeing their eyes light up as they try something new. They are only little for a short time and it’s so fun to watch them learn and play along the way.
Super Cute {and fun} Valentine’s Day Pictures

For under $10 dollars you can create the most precious Valentine’s day pictures around! In fact, out of all of these fun Valentine’s day activities for kids, this one is my absolute favorite. And, it’s so simple. Here’s how you can create your own images….
Start by creating a fun background! You can use wrapping paper, heart cuts out, or party streamers. You will want to stick the decorations to your wall with painter’s tape, so it doesn’t cause any damage to your paint. Make sure you are selecting a space with good natural light. If you aren’t sure how to do this, I have a helpful video over in my Facebook Group!
Next, dress your kiddos up in a festive outfit and gather a few props from around the house! Mine absolutely love sunglasses and balloons. Then, just let your kids play and have fun while you snap your pictures. If you have trouble getting your kiddos to smile authentically for pictures, you can get my free guide here! It gives you 10 simple tricks to get those happy giggles that you love.
Valentine’s Day Gingerbread House

This one happened by accident, but I am so glad we decided to give this a try! Over Christmas we were so overwhelmed with cookie decorating that we forgot to build our gingerbread houses this year. It had become a tradition for us and the girls were disappointed, so I decided to give it a try for Valentine’s day instead. I actually think it was more fun than the traditional Christmas gingerbread house
We created our gingerbread house from these awesome molds and used sugar cookie dough. {If you don’t want to get the molds, you could use graham crackers or buy a gingerbread house kit online. } To hold the house together, we used pink funfetti icing from the store and for decorations conversation hearts, swedish fish hearts, gumdrops and fun sprinkles. The kids had a blast and they enjoyed eating all the toppings too!
Valentine’s Day Photo Scavenger Hunt

Kids love taking pictures and the scavenger hunt makes it such an adventure for them! It’s also a great learning experience as it teaches kids a few simple but effective photo tips to help them create interesting images. All of the items are things you probably already have in your home and no special camera is required. You can use your phone or any camera that you already own. Just click here to let me know where to send your copy and watch your kids have a blast as they learn about photography!
